PW1100G-JM is an engine developed to inherit the successful V2500 engine program through the international joint effort between five companies from Japan, the U.S., and Germany. It is also a variant of PurePower ® Geared TurbofanTM Engines which produces 11-15 tons of thrust. Obtained type certification in 2014, PW1100G-JM is now powering the Airbus A320neo aircraft family. MHIAEL participates as a member of Japanese Aero Engines Corporation (JAEC) with program responsibility including design and manufacture of the combustor.
